Monday, Campbell Wilson, the CEO of Air India, announced that the merger will result in the retirement of the Vistara brand. Wilson ascribed the change to the brand’s global prominence.

At a virtual media briefing, Wilson said that the merging of Vistara and Air India is already underway and is seeking permission from the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
