Vancouver International Airport – A Detailed Guide

Vancouver International Airport is a major airport in Canada. You can locate it in Richmond, British Columbia.

Also, it is the primary international airport that serves the area of Vancouver that is twelve kilometers from Downtown Vancouver.

And it is also a hub for airlines like WestJet and Air Canada. Also, it is an operating base for Air Transat.

1. Terminals at Vancouver International Airport

Vancouver International Airport has three terminals in total. These include – the International terminal, Domestic terminal, and South terminal.

  • Main Terminal

The main terminal of Vancouver International Airport has two terminals in total. These are the domestic and international terminal.

  • Domestic Terminal

The construction of this terminal at the Vancouver International Airport took place in 1968. This was by a company in Vancouver – Thompson, Berwick, and Pratt.

  • Pier A

  • Pier B

  • Pier C

This Pier of the domestic terminal of Vancouver International Airport has 24 gates. And these are C29 through C52.

  • Pier E

The Airport South complex of the Vancouver International Airport comprises of – South Terminal, Floatplane Facility, and other adjoining operations. You must know the following things about these:

  • South Terminal

The South Terminal of the airport is a part of the original pre-1968 terminal. And it is still in use.

Also, this terminal has a corporate headquarter. And it also has the main base of Pacific Coastal Airlines and Harbour Air.

And these are –Central Mountain Air and Pacific Coastal Airlines. Also, there are chartered flights.
