We were curious about what issues one might face after COVID restrictions on travel were lifted. So, we encouraged a few of our team members to face the possibilities. They went on ahead and came back a bit wiser than before. It was during a work trip to Europe in the middle of the summer. Would they fly from Berlin to Amsterdam or take a train?
It was no surprise that after COVID restrictions were lifted, airports along with airlines struggled to keep up their previous pace. With the rapid increase in demand of these services, delays, price increments and utter chaos was bound to happen. At face value, it looked like taking a flight was a better option than a train. It took only about 4 hours to go via a flight while the train journey took a bit more than 6 hours.
Our editor, Yashwini chose to take the scenic route via train. While the HR executive manager, Anaida wanted to reach the destination earlier and chose a flight. Yashwini found her trip to be pleasantly relaxed on the train. In her words, she said, “I faced no problems, had a great view during the journey and a relaxing time.”
That’s similar to what our customers usually say after they have got their cheap flights From Alberta to India with us.
On the other hand, Anaida who took the flight had this to say about her journey. “Luckily, I didn’t have my luggage (just a carry – on), so it was relatively easy to check in and go through security. But the airport was super chaotic, with people everywhere trying to find out how to get to their plane.” Her flight was around 1 hr 20 minutes late for departure. Even though the pilot managed to reduce it to 45 minutes final delay, the time it took for both journeys almost became the same. It was 6 hrs 30 minutes.
Both the transportations took almost the same time by 6 hours and 30 minutes. However, the train journey was a much more pleasurable experience where travelers could get to relax and enjoy the sights without messing up their things. That brings us to the fact that most people’s vacations right after COVID – 19 ended did not go as planned. People were hoping for things to get to normal conditions. Yet, they weren’t and people had to deal with the fact when they faced it.
Hence, they started making smarter travel decisions with research. So, the next time you book flight tickets from British Columbia to India with us, ensure you get your facts straight. If you don’t want to put in the hard work, ensure you hire an expert to do it for you, like us!
