Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal Information and Facilities

Toronto Pearson International Airport or Lester B. Pearson International Airport is the major airport that serves the region of Toronto, its metropolitan and the surrounding region, also known as Golden Horseshoe.

Concourses of Terminal 1

Terminal 1 of the Toronto Pearson International Airport has three concourses:

1. Eastern Concourse: It has boarding gates from D1-12 and D20-28.

2. South Concourse: It has boarding gates from D31-57 and F32-36 & F51-F57.

3. Northwest Concourse: It has boarding gates from F60-81 and F58-F99.

Lounges at Terminal 1 of Toronto Pearson International Airport

The terminal 1 of the airport has the following lounges:

a) International Lounge: After you have booked a cheap flight to  India from the airport, you can locate the lounge close to gate E77.

The opening hours of the terminal are 5.00 am to 10.00 pm on Wednesday and Friday, and 5.00 am to 12.00 pm on all the other days.

b) Domestic Lounge: If you have booked flights to any domestic destination in Canada, this lounge is located for you at Level 3 of terminal 1. Also, the lounge remains open from 5.00 am to 10.30 pm.

 c) Transborder Lounge: This lounge is located by the Gate F55- F57 and remains open from 4.00 am to 8.30 pm.

Terminal 3

This terminal at the Toronto Pearson International Airport came into action in 1991 and since then has experienced a continuous expansion in terms of passenger traffic as well as infrastructural facilities.

Like Terminal 1, Terminal 3 also serves both the domestic as well as international flights. Moreover, this terminal has a parking garage and Sheraton Hotel that are connected to Terminal 1 as well.

Some of the airlines serving Terminal 3 include Sunwing Airlines, Air Transat, Etihad Airways, and WestJet.

Levels of Terminal 3

Here are the levels of Terminal 3:

Level 1: This level at the terminal is the arrival level. You can locate the Canada Border Services, US Customs, and Canada immigration.

Level 2: This is the departure and check-in level of terminal 3. Also, you should know that if you are someone traveling to the US, you will have separate check-in points.

  • One can easily transfer to the following areas from level 2 of the terminal through:
  • International and Domestic departures by B gates that is B1-B14
  • International Departures by B and C gates that are B14-26 and C30-36
  • US gates A6-20 and A2-5

Lounges at Terminal 3 of Toronto Pearson International Airport

1. Domestic and International Lounge: This lounge is located near gate B24 and for the time duration between 5.00 am to 10.30 pm.

2. International and Domestic Lounge: This lounge is located across gate C32. The opening timings of the lounge are from 4.30 am to 1.00 am.

3. Transborder Lounge: This is located close to gate A10. Also, the opening timings of the lounge are from 5.00 am to 8.30 pm.

Inter-Terminal Transportation

 One can easily commute from one terminal to another using the LINK train that runs all round the clock. These trains are free for use and are wheelchair accessible.

These trains run after every 4 minutes during peak hours, and the frequency drops down to 8 minutes during off-peak hours.

Facilities at Toronto Pearson International Airport

Self Check-in Kiosks

These accessibility self-check kiosks are available on the departure levels of both the terminals.

They can be easily identified by the presence of navigational keypad on the right side of the screens. These kiosks have the below-mentioned features:

  • They have a jack for the headphones that can be used for the audible instructions.
  • Keypad for navigation with Braille labeling and tactilely discernible keys easily operated with single hands.
  • The height is accessed even by the passengers using wheelchairs. The touch screen has an anti-glare coating that gives ease of reading in bright lights.

Accessible Toilets and Changing rooms

All the washrooms at the Toronto Pearson Airport have wheelchair-accessible toilets. Moreover, the airport has two changing rooms that are completely assisted and have all the features of the Changing Places.

These are located below the security area of Terminal 1 in the Domestic Arrival Halls and Before the security at the Terminal 3 for the International Arrivals.

You will have to follow the step by step instructions on the screen and use the device. Moreover, the cost of making the call will be displayed on the screen.

In-Terminal Shuttle

The Toronto Pearson International Airport has in-terminal shuttle service available for the arriving, departing, or the passengers who require assistance from one gate to another for their connecting flights.

You can locate these shuttles through the purple signs that indicate ‘wait here for mobility assistance.’

These signs can be found on both the terminals after the departure security and after the exit on the arrivals.

Airport Parking

For the passengers with flights to India who wish to leave their vehicles at the airport, there are a few options.

The airport offers three on-site lots offering short as well long term covered and uncovered parking.

Express, available at Terminal 1 charges for C$4 for one hour that increases to C$50 for one day

Daily Option, available at both the terminals, offers the charges of C$33 for one day that can go as high as C$185 for an entire week.

The Value garage is the cheapest option and is suitable for longer stays. The charges are C$25 for one day, C$120 for an entire week for inside parking, and C$20 for a day and C$105 for outside parking.

  • Vinifera: Located near Gate C32 in Terminal 3
