Who doesn’t want a vacation straight out of a fairy- tale? Imagine this- shimmering white sandy beaches, twinkling little lights on Christmas, soaking in infinity pools and Jacuzzi or staring at the starry skies holding your partner’s hand. All of this sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? But most of the time, it is so ridiculously expensive that it seems like a distant dream to us. Well, not anymore.
Tripbeam has arrived with last minute flights from Toronto to India and we have prepared a list of places where you can have dreamy, out- of- the- world experiences with less than half the cost! Did we catch your attention? Well, that’s what happens when you have one of the best ARS (airline reservation system) working for you. Check out these wonderful locations where you can visit for a lavish getaway in India.
While this one doesn’t have the immediate charm of Rajasthan or Goa, that has let it become an underrated destination in India. When you are looking for a delightful getaway away from the crowds, Gujarat needs to be on your list of destinations to check out. It offers azure seas and heritage forts of Daman & Diu to the jungle safaris at Gir Forest. You can also just opt for a place encircled by the forest and set up camp yourself.
If camping isn’t your thing, arrive at the Blackbuck Lodge that is set in the heart of the national park in Velavadar. Spend your time alternating between wildlife safaris, cycling tours that give you a chance to see local villages, stay at one of their pool villas and get to trying out Bush Dinners that offer a romantic time with your partner as you enjoy a great barbecue dinner under the starry skies.
Should you want to visit a white desert, don’t forget to check out the Great Rann of Kutch, which is a salt marsh located in the Thar Desert. While this place is stunning, it is very popular with tourists looking to snap a picture. If you want a quieter, less crowded place to go to, check out the Rann of Ekal. However, you need to remember that you will need to book your stay near here because the drive from here to Velavadar is just too long. To visit Gujarat, book flights to India from Canada with Tripbeam and take a flight to Gujarat.
Again, this is an entirely off track choice for tourists but is practically a hidden gem in India. This location allows you to connect with nature without the over- commercialization that you’ll find in most tourist- laden spots. Stay at an AirBnB like The Garden, with its cute color pops balanced with white and decorated with plants and tub chairs at every bend. If you prefer a more rustic feel to your stay, head on over to the Hesed House in Cherrapunji, which has high wooden ceilings and scant furniture for a much more open vibe.
If you choose The Garden in Shillong, you can go to the Elephant Falls and Umiam Lake for a beautifully serene time. For some off the beaten track options, shop over at the pre- colonial Lewduh Market, visit the East Khasi Hills to check out the Laitlum Canyon and go to Snoajes for a rock- climbing session.
If you chose the Hesed House of rainy Cherrapunji, check out the living root bridges and Nohkalikai Falls. For something away from the touristy regions, you can go to the Wakaba Falls. Best part about Meghalaya is, even if you don’t have an itinerary in mind for your vacation, it is the perfect place to sit back and relax as you will find great views everywhere. Just go out for a walk. Check out Tripbeam’s cheap last minute flights Canada to visit Meghalaya.
