The passengers of Ryanair will again have to adapt to the latest rules regarding the flight baggage policies. The frequent rule changes have become a regular thing for this airliner. Now this move has further restricted what they will take on this airliner for free. Before this month, the passengers could take two bags with dimensions not larger than 55x40x20cm and not heavier than 10kg on their international flights to India. If they were non priority, then the bigger one was put in the hold without any charge.
But now with the revised hand baggage rules on flight from Canada to India, the passengers can take the decision. Either travel with a small bag, or pay the priority fee I.e. £6 /person/ flight at the time of booking or £8 during online check-in. In case you are traveling with a larger bag and not paid extra, then you face a fine of £25. The airline has however claim that these changes are not about making money, but to minimize delays and enhance the boarding process. Moreover, approximately 30% of the passengers on their cheap flight tickets to India have already paid the Priority fee, whereas around 40% of them will get affected.
According to the airliners claim, only 60% of the passengers will get affected by these new rules. Whereas the remaining would either have to pay extra on the return fare, or reduce the luggage. According to the other statement given by Ryanair, the average fare is about £71 return, which means an increase of 18 to 22% of many of its customers.
