The Singapore Changi Airport has launched its first non-stop flight from Northeast India to Singapore. Initiated from September 29, the flight between Guwahati and Singapore have been operated by Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines. The highly anticipated route will reduced the journey time from 10 hours to 4 hours 30 minutes.
Moreover, this development aims to strengthen cultural ties between the two nations. It is expected that trade and travel practices can also be improved.
Commenting on the launch of an inaugural flight from India to Singapore, Managing Director of Changi Airport Group, Lim Ching Kiat expressed his words by considering India as the source of Singapore’s third largest tourism market. The introduction of a new route enhances the connectivity between India and Singapore with a total of 16 city-links, he added further.
With such abundant city links, Changi Airport will connect to 16 cities in India through 280 weekly one-way services. This sets the ease for travelers to board their flights easily from anywhere in Seven Sisters of India. Moreover, Drukair features a best-in-class Economy class after Business class travel to India with comfortable seating.
