The Laperal Guesthouse, also known as Laperal White House one of the creepiest places, stands as a Victorian-style house constructed in the 1920s and currently serves as a museum. Owned by the Laperal clan of Don Roberto and his wife, Dona Victorina, the house has seen through the cruelties of World War II.
Reportedly, Japanese soldiers suspected of collaborating with Americans tortured and killed Filipinos in the house next to the spirit-infested Teachers’ Camp.
Passers-by sometimes see apparitions of a little girl standing motionless on the third step of the house. And many said they saw a woman looking out the window of the top floor out on the street.
Yet there are others who heard scary loud voices of screaming, shouting and even being angry. They say it felt like they’re unwelcome into the house and that someone was watching them.
One day, the caretaker of the house who lived in nearby premises, asked the guard to cut down the fortune plant at one side of the house.
The plants were said to be a favorite of the wife, Dona Victorina and the guard, after cutting down the plant fell ill immediately and wasn’t able to walk for days.
He shared his personal experiences later on and reported that once while doing his rounds inside the house, he received a call from his wife.
Everything was fine until his wife asked who he was with since she kept hearing a woman’s voice on the line.
But the thing is the guard was completely alone at the time. Apart from the ghost stories, the house also hosts the annual Ifugao Bamboo Art Exhibition.
The magnificent Malacanang Palace one of the creepiest places that had been the home of every nationality that colonized the Philippines- from the Spanish to the Japanese. Since it’s erection in the 1970s, it has seen its best and worst moments far too many times in the country.
While it houses the country’s top highest official, it is also the abode of innumerable ghostly apparitions, to the extent that even the President Duterte said that he wouldn’t live in the Palace as he didn’t want to live with the Palace ghosts.
He mentioned that the ghosts are still there, and they hold a conference sometimes. Employees have also seen ghostly apparitions of former Presidents Manuel Quezon, Manuel Roxas, and Ramon Magsaysay.
The Palace employees also reported to have seen visions of a woman clad in a black dress either looking out the window at the Pasig River or sitting at one of the desks along with many casualties of World War II.
There’s also a spirit of a little boy who was frequently seen crouching with his head bent, in one corner of the men’s restroom in the 3rd floor of the Mabini Hall.
Former First Lady Imelda Marcos also mentioned that she knew about the ghost of Quezon’s barber and that her husband was apparently holding conversations with them late into the night.
Another time were when two ladies who were living in the palace at the time saw the apparition of a headless priest in Kalayaan Hall and ran, and another saw a candlestick floating in the air even though there was not a single soul in sight.
