Essential Packing Tips Every Traveler Should Know

Travelers can be divided into 2 groups: First, those who are always packing a week’s worth of clothes for a one- day trip and then take their own sweet time figuring out where the essentials are.

Second, those travelers who tend to pack really light and always forget to bring their essentials and the necessary documents.

We are here to solve all your problems with our magic. Pack your bags after you buy your cheap flights to India from Canada.

And if you’re looking for the best air ticket booking site that will offer you the best airfare possible at convenient rates, don’t forget to check out our website.

Hurry up and read the tips you should know about to strike the right balance between packing just what’s right for your trip.

1) Choose travel-friendly fabrics.

When you’re packing for travel, opt for clothes that do not wrinkle or crease easily. Choose fabrics like wool, lyocell, polyester, cashmere, knits and spandex.

Even when the fabrics have a tendency to wrinkle, they will be less likely to do so when they’re blended with the above mentioned fabrics.

If the clothes do wrinkle, they will be fine after you lay them flat, or hang it in the closet.

After all, when you’ve got places to be and people to see, you’ll hardly want to spend your time ironing them to remove the creases and yet, you want to appear looking polished and elegant as well.

2) Pack the first outfit you’ll want to wear on top.

When you already have a set itinerary for the trip and know you’ll be attending a meeting or luncheon straight after the flight, pack what you’re going to wear on the top of all other belongings.

This has two benefits- first, you won’t spend your time digging through clothes you don’t need and ruffling them in the process.

And second, the clothes are less likely to wrinkle this way and give you the perfect opportunity to pack early instead of waiting to do so at the last minute.

3) Place heavy items at the base.

Remember that you are placing heavy, weighted items of your luggage like books, shoes etc.  at the wheel side of your suitcase.

Doing so will help the soft and fragile items of your belongings from getting crushed below the heavy items.

Another advantage of packing the heavy items at the bottom of your suitcase is that it will help the luggage to stand steady when it is upright.

4) Use packing aides.

Packing aides come in handy when you have to pack for a long trip. Use compression sacs that will shrink your belongings in a vacuum packed, small and tight bundle that can then be rolled into storage.

This will ensure it uses minimum suitcase space and you can pack more in limited space. Don’t forget to carry the pump with you for the return journey as well.

Other packing aides you can use are packing cubes and envelopes so that you will no longer have to worry about where to put oddly shaped items of your belongings in a jigsaw puzzle.

You’ll be packing everything neatly in storage cubes and everything will retain its place.

5) Get an extra bag for souvenirs.

Wondering whether there’ll be enough space in your luggage for souvenirs and memoirs of your trip?

Make sure you pack an empty extra backpack or tote in your luggage to store those precious mementos.

Simply ensure that you fold it into a compact form that occupies minimal space; consequently, the bag will be ideal for stocking up on almost anything you buy during the trip.

6) Organize your toiletries.

TSA’s 3- 1- 1 rule is the golden line. Remember to pack all toiletries that include gels, liquids and/ or creams in containers that are or less than 100 ml or 3.4 ounces in a separate clear quart sized bag in your carry- on.

This way, you’ll breeze through airport security without the dreaded TSA agent confiscating your items.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t include liquid prescription medicine.

Research TSA guidelines on liquids or gels to avoid holding up the line while waiting for luggage checks.
