International Flights To and From India Will Resume Starting 27 March 2022

Till now, only special flights approved by DGCA were allowed and those also had many restrictions placed on them. The DGCA gave the green signal for normalizing the flight operations from 15 December 2021. But due to the growing spread of the deadly Omicron variant, the decision had to be rescinded.
The government decided to ease the travel restrictions on arrivals and do away with the list of countries that were categorized as ‘At-Risk’.

After seeing that the domestic flights soon reached the 80% operation benchmark, the authorities discussed the suspended international flights. The DGCA in its statement said that the international operations are resuming but they have to precisely follow the health ministry’s guidelines. The scheduled international flights will remain suspended till 11.59 P.M. 26 March 2022.
