Chief Parliamentary Secretary Kishori Lal, who graced the ceremony, officially launched the championship. This international show, produced in partnership with the Billing Paragliding Association and the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), had its official opening conducted by RS Bali, the Chairman of HPTDC. Bali, hailing from Shimla, the state capital, added even more grandeur to the tournament.
During his speech, Bali said that Bir Billing would soon host the Paragliding World Cup and that the state government was supporting adventure sports.

According to Bali, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister, has various projects in the works to turn Kangra into the state’s tourism center.
According to Nagrota Bagwan, MLA, Himachal Pradesh has grown in popularity as a tourism destination due to its extraordinary natural beauty.
He said that fresh and unknown locations were being built all over the state.
