Guwahati International Airport Guide

Guwahati International Airport is also popularly known as Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. Also, the airport was formerly known as Borjhar Airport. The airport has been serving the North-Eastern part of the country.

Terminals at Guwahati International Airport

There are a total of two terminals at the Guwahati International Airport. 

  • Terminal 1

Terminal 1 of the airport can also be termed as the domestic terminal of the Guwahati International Airport.

When you have taken domestic flights to India from Guwahati International Airport, you can experience a total of 500 passenger capacity in the terminal.

This capacity is for the arrivals and departures separately. When you have booked flights from India, through the domestic terminals, you will witness six boarding gates.

  • Terminal 2

Terminal 2 at the Guwahati International Airport is meant for the International flights to India. This terminal can effectively handle 125 passengers both for the arrivals as well as departures separately.

However, for international travelers, the airport has one boarding gate. 

Moreover, the airport has four immigration counters, I customer care counter, 14 check-in counters, and four security counters available for the passengers.

Lounges at Guwahati International Airport

The airport has Runway Lounge and Multi-cuisine lounge operated by Hotel Prag Continental.

One can have access to the free Wi-Fi at the Guwahati international airport all through the terminal after taking international flights to India

You have to select FREE Wi-Fi @ AAI by Airtel from the Wi-Fi options. All you need to do is enter your mobile number to generate an OTP and start using the uninterrupted services.

  • Check-in Counters

A total of 34 check-in counters are operational in Domestic and International departures of the airport.

Moreover, you can also locate self-check-in kiosks at the departure hall of the terminal.

These counters help the passengers to select their favorable seats, and print their boarding passes and drop the baggage at the respective counters.
