Tirumalai Nayak Palace

King Thirumalai Nayak built this just a kilometre apart from the Meenakshi Temple in 1636. An Italian architect helped build the palace featuring an Indo – Sarcenic architectural style. It was the residential palace of the king, consisting of a courtyard, dance hall, entrance hall and audience hall.

Koodal Azhagar Temple

Set in the west of the city, Koodal Azhagar Temple features both religious charm and heritage of the old as the temple has enamoring Vaishnavite sculptures. The sculptures all depict Lord Vishnu in 3 poses – sitting (asana), standing (sthanaka) and reclining (sayana). Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam
