Vikram Vedha

Made by the hit filmmaker duo Pushkar – Gayathri, Vikram Vedha is the hindi remake of the Tamil hit of the same name. The Tamil movie featured R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi while the hindi version featured Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan. Though it was made on a budget of Rs. 175 crore, it only managed to barely hit the Rs. 100 crore mark.

Laal Singh Chaddha

The movie is a hindi remake of Tom Hanks Forrest Gump starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, but it did not create the same magic of the original, with only collecting Rs. 108.47 crore worldwide. It marked the Bollywood debut of the Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

The movie is a hindi remake of Ajith Kumar’s Veeram, a tamil movie. Though Salman Khan usually delivers blockbusters, this turned to be a disappointment as it earned only Rs. 120 crore internationally. Now, hopes are set for his next movie Tiger 3. The movie is Ranveer Singh’s project starring Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi and Tahir Raj Bhasin. Despite being made on a budget of Rs. 260 crore, the sports based movie did not go well with the audience due to the pandemic and earned only Rs. 103 crore.

This multi- starrer movie featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma failed to earn more than Rs. 178 crore worldwide despite being made on a budget of Rs. 270 crore.

Thugs of Hindostan

This period drama starred big name actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh and was made on a budget of Rs. 300 crore but it did not earn more than Rs. 138 crore after its theatrical journey globally.

Radhe Shyam

Prabhas, known popularly for S. S. Rajamouli’s movie of the Baahubali franchise, experimented with his role but the romantic drama with Pooja Hegde collected Rs. 140 crore only with all languages combined.

Tubelight

Another Salman Khan starrer, the movie did business of Rs.114 crore while being made on a budget of Rs. 135 crore. Salman Khan compensated the losses incurred by the distributors from his own wallet, according to Firstpost.
